AMRA Round 2 Mini Report - Constant Motion Productions

The 2018-2019 Fly Racing Mini Series had its round 2 stop in Oracle, AZ at 3C Ranch. The minis came to battle on the fast flowing loop with a long uphill climb, a grass section through the trees, and an even longer downhill section. The 50cc 4-6 Year Old class lined up with Sean Riddle, Miles Mcneil and Emmitt Stoflet. Riddle rode great all race on his GasGas electric bike taking the win with a lap ahead of second place Mcneil and third place Stoflet. Riddle’s brother Kyle rode his GasGas electric bike in the 50cc 7-8Years Old class and beat second place Corey McGowan. In the 65cc 7-8 Years Old class, it was all Deegan Fox on his KTM 65, putting three laps on second place Drake Powell and his KTM. Third place Finnigan Masten rode well on his KTM as well. In the 65cc 10-11 Year Old class, the riders took on most of the big course, winding through he tight technical track. Jesse Blevins-Heck took the win ahead of the DA8 Training Husqvarna of Colton Calmes and third place Johnny Smallhouse. The 85cc 9-11 Year Old class had Jackson Powell take first on his KTM 85 ahead of Jace Vogt’s KTM and Kayden Sanders’s Yamaha. 85cc 12-14 Years Old brought Jeremiah Campbell’s Honda to the top spot with Ruffin Dodson’s Husqvarna and Matthew Trapp’s KTM. The Supermini class had Dominic Craighill and Chase Haynes battling on lap one, but Craighill quickly took the lead and maintained it until the checkers came out. Haynes would take second and Shayne Bruno took third for a Kawasaki sweep of the podium. Overall top 10 for the big course riders are as follows: Dominic Craighill, Jeremiah Campbell, Ruffin Dodson, Chase Haynes, Matthew Trapp, Jesse Blevins-Heck, Colton Calmes, Shayne Bruno, Johnny Smallhouse and Jackson Powell. The minis had a variety of challenges at the round 2 stop of the Fly Racing Mini Series and showed that the future of offroad racing is promising. Next stop is the Big 6 GP at Lake Has December 8-9.
